I don't know what happened today, I had planned to swim for an hour and a half, and do about 4.500 yards all in sets of 100s...but I woke up, headed to the pool and was absolutely drained. I got in and did 2,500 yards and decided to get out and quit while I was ahead. I figured pushing myself to go the rest of the way was not going to be beneficial in any manner...
Warm up: 1000yards
10x100s freestyle @1:45
Main:
5x 100 kick odd laps=under water even laps=SLK @ 2:00
5x100 pull w/snorkel and paddles @1:30 ( but ended up doing them around 1:45)
Warm Down:
5x100 #1scull with buoy #2-5 freestyle @1:45
I really haven't the foggiest what happened and why I felt this way, hopefully tomorrow will be better...

Back in action...
Alrighty...so last week I also swam Thursday and Friday, both days I did an hour consecuitve swim, and around 5,000yards during both swims. Friday my left shoulder gave me some trouble, which lasted until Sunday, I just kept popping anti-inflammatory medicine and by Sunday afternoon it was fine. I went snowboarding all day Sunday.
I couldn't drag myself out of bed Monday morning...but I did feel really bad about it, so I've devised a new plan for Monday and Wednesday's because it's just unrealistic given the time I get into bed at night, getting up at 430am is far fetched. So, from now on, on Mondays and Wednesdays I am gonna only swim for an hour to an hour and a half (either doing a consecutive swim or interval workout...either or)
So today I swam from 6:15-8:10amish, it was my first day getting back into interval training, so I did kinda a long and loose recovery set that I had done a few weeks back as well:
Warm Up: 2000yards
1000swim (every 4th lap SLK)
4x(3x50) #1Kick #2 Drill #3 swim 1xeach stroke @1:00
400pull
Main Set: 3000yards
500kick
400kick 100swim
300kick 200swim
200kick 300swim
100kick 400swim
500swim
**kick was with zoomers
**take 20-30seconds inbetween each
Recovery/Warm Down: 800yards
6x75 o=free e-im @1:15
4x50 drill (1x each stroke) @1:00
150 ez
total: 5,800
I felt kinda slow today, but I think it was just that getting back into it feeling...tomorrow, I plan to swim for 1hour 30minutes, but I have a pretty lofty workout planned of all 100s of different breeds...

It's been a long time...
Okay, well, haven't updated in a while...but then again, I haven't swam in over a week. March 3-4th I was at the Maryland Masters Winter meet. That was pretty nice, my first masters meet.
On Saturday I swam the:
200free
100free
50 fly
I don't have the exact times in front of me but none of them were best times or anything. I was kinda disappointed with the times but I hadn't gotten much sleep the night before and that morning we had learned a family friend had passed away so I probably wasn't in the best of mindsets to have an awesome day. I placed 1st in the 200, 3rd in the 100 and 2nd in the 50.
On Sunday (my 21st birthday!) I swam:
200IM
50Free
100IM
And I did awesome. The 200IM I did a 2:22.0 which is 4seconds faster than the time I did at St. Rose this season and only 1 second off my best time which I did way back in 8th grade. That made me happy because I really worked on all my strokes and the im in general that week before. The 50free I also did a best time of the season a 26.2 wihch is faster than I went at my college championships on a shave and taper. And the 100IM I did a 1:07 something, I died on that event, and had forgotten to take my inhaler so it wasn't great, but I definatly didn't care after having had such a great meet.
I also met Muppet and Mollie from the forums, that was cool. Mollie and I swam in the same heat for the 100IM...She creamed me haha.
I haven't been in the pool since the meet unfortunatly, I meant to go this morning, but couldn't get out of bed...but I WILL go tonight. I just want to swim a 2hour consecutive swim tonight, to get some yardage in and loosen out. I got a swimp3 player for my birthday so I'm gonna just put that on and swim swim swim. Tomorrow I will start interval training again, but I think from here out I am gonna work a few consecutive swims into my training, since I will be doing some open water events come this summer and they obviously are much longer than what I normally interval train for.
Additionally, I really need to get on the ball and start running and biking a bit more. I definatly am NOT in shape at the moment, too much lally gaging around. So hopefully today between classes I will go to the gym and run a little and then swim after classes tonight.
